AUG/12/2014  Jack Says Goodbye I

STORY SPEAKER 1 SPEAKER 2 RANK

Jack travels to the clinic where Phyllis is at so that he can say goodbye to her.  Jack tells Phyllis that he is moving on with his life with another woman because he has finally accepted that she will never wake up.  In the meantime, in another part of the clinic, Victor is paying for a doctor to use an experimental drug to try to make Phyllis wake up.  Victor does not want anyone to know he is doing this so it really makes the viewer wonder what Victor's plan is.

Victor:

You're walking toward a future with me. I am listening to your voice saying our vows, promising to love me until death parts us. That's what is so hard about this. You are not gone. The woman I love is in there somewhere.

Now, as planned, I want Phyllis to be a part of Dr. ***, experimental drug trial. And we all hope that it will be as affective with her as it has been with other patients, all right?

How can that happen when Dr. *** can't start treatment without the family's permission?

You don't worry about that. I'll take care of that.

[EXPRESSIONS]

UNTIL DEATH PARTS US - this is part of the traditional marriage vows meaning that you will stay together until you die.

[TRICKS]

Jack:

That's what is so hard about this.

In English, there are thousands of words which are spoken really close to each other.  "hard" is certainly one of them.  Its pronunciation is similar to "heart", "heard" or "hurt".
